Usually, we gather for worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month and for education on the 4th Sunday of every month.  Rarely, but occasionally, that schedule will be a bit different.  Any changes, however, are announced in our gatherings as well as in our monthly newsletter.

What about the time of our gatherings?  Worship is at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays, followed by our popular time for discussion of the message of the day.  We adjourn at about 12 noon.  Educational opportunities also begin at 10:00 a.m. and, depending on the particular Sunday, adjourn between 11:30 a.m. and 12 noon.  When we have a Covered Dish gathering (brunch) at our own facility or a banquet at a restaurant, it usually is at 11:00 a.m. and is over by 12:30 or 1:00 p.m.

Since, unlike many other churches, our progressive fellowship usually gathers only two Sundays out of each month, we encourage our members and friends to reserve those two Sundays on their calendar well in advance and to schedule vacations and all other activities around those two Sundays so they won’t have to miss anything vital to their spiritual growth and wellbeing.  We’re pleased that most of our wonderful people care enough about the importance of their spiritual journey to make that a helpful practice.  We think about it this way:  If God wanted on a particular Sunday to say something of great significance to us about our personal wellbeing or that of our family, would we want not to be there?  Consequently, we try to take each of our twice-a-month gatherings seriously.
